To set the BELL character to use an envelope, use (envelope-1)*8 To set the BELL volume, and not use envelopes, use 256+((volume-1))*8 The value &90 is *CONFIGURE LOUD and &D0 is *CONFIGURE QUIET (Electron OS) The unexpanded sound system has fixed amplitude.
