|
Keyboard equivalent | TAB or CTRL I |
Character stream (hex) | 09
|
Description | Moves the cursor one place to the right. |
Description
VDU 9
, TAB or CTRL I moves the cursor one place nearer to the end of the line (usually the right edge but possibly the left edge in RISC OS). Any character the cursor passes over is not affected.
Being a control code, nothing is added to the current line of INPUT
. After a TAB, the line displayed on screen may not represent the contents of the input buffer.
On printers and in many text editors, the cursor advances to the next tab stop, usually every eighth column. To the MOS, every column is a tab stop.
